Cool Coffee Facts

It is all about the Coffee (and changing the world!)

Beyond Borders Coffee beans come from three sources:

1 Beans purchased through local partnering growers in Hawaii and around the world where by virtue of current RICE (RICE Relief Corp) projects or thru our coffee partners, we have price, quality or selection advantages.   International targeted beans will come from local cottage size farms in or near project areas. For example, Northern Thailand Fang Agricultural area, Chiang Mai University or New Horizon Church Coffee farm.

2 Beans purchased from world markets are identified for quality, price, timing of availability, and selected taste offering.

3 Beyond Borders “Estate Grown” coffee beans (Beyond Borders farms). Our Estate beans will be grown in identified high quality growing regions near or within areas where RICE International Relief Organization or RICE partners have humanitarian projects. The concept is to produce our own high quality beans under the Beyond Borders name for wholesale and retail sales. This then becomes a vehicle for higher wage jobs, small business enterprise and community development in our project areas. Profits will be used locally for programs in child care, widows and orphans, water purification, medical clinics, etc. Envisioned project areas suitable for coffee growing are West Africa, South East Asia, and Central and South America.
